2024 #WorkReady Career Exploration: “Emerging Careers: Charting Your Course”

Once again the Tualatin STEAM Team is partnering with Tigard High School, Tualatin High School, and the Tigard and Tualatin Chambers of Commerce to showcase Emerging Careers. This event has been designed to be inclusive and open to all Tigard/Tualatin High School students with an emphasis on inviting women and other underrepresented students. The overall goal is to introduce students to the many opportunities in our community and the world that are available in STEM-related fields. We will be providing incentives for them to register by offering $5 gift cards, snacks, soft drinks, and raffle prizes. There’s nothing like a little incentive to get people to show up!   
 
Business Cost:  $50 to help with purchasing snacks and drinks, plus a Raffle Prize with a $50 minimum value such as gift cards or gift baskets.

Suggestions to help your team be successful:

• Send 1-2 representatives to speak with the students.
• Students love swag or samples.
• A 2-4’ table and 2 chairs will be provided for each business. Feel free to bring tablecloths, banners, flyers, or other marketing materials to share. 

 
Last year's event, held at Tualatin High School, was very well received by students, faculty, and business partners. We hope you will consider joining us and please don't hesitate to give me a call if you have any questions.
