About Us
Established in 2012, the mission of Borland Free Clinic (BFC) is “To bring hope and healing to vulnerable people in our community as an expression of Christ's love.” BFC is a nonprofit, faith based medical clinic providing primary care to economically disadvantaged (uninsured and underinsured) individuals, with services that include urgent care, primary care, chronic disease treatment, physical therapy, pre-diabetes and diabetes education, women’s health, and behavioral health.
We treat regular and long-term health conditions, including asthma, arthritis, diabetes, hypertension, headaches, endocrine disorders, gastrointestinal disorders, and more. We also offer prescription refills, specialty care referrals, assistance in obtaining free/discounted medications and supplies, and some vaccinations. Through partners we offer vision care, dental care, and mammogram screenings.
We support many vulnerable people in our community such as homeless individuals, recent immigrant arrivals, people who do not otherwise qualify for Medicaid (OHP), and Medicare patients who do not have adequate insurance coverage. Our patients do not have the means to seek out expensive diagnostic tests or specialty care. Many must choose between buying food and paying for prescription medications.
